Volunteering with Montgomery Trees isn’t just tree planting. There are many other opportunities available that fit into anyone’s schedule or physical abilities. Please consider helping us to promote, protect and enhance our urban forest!
Here are a a few ways you can lend a hand!
- Become a Friend of Montgomery Tree. Your donation helps us with events and with the purchase of trees to continue expanding Montgomery’s urban forest.
- Encourage your neighbors to care for trees (eg: water) that Montgomery Trees has planted in your neighborhood
- Help set up and work a booth at local environmental events
- Give out seedlings for Arbor Day
- Make your neighborhood aware of the importance of trees to all of us
- Plan a tree planting event in your neighborhood
- Speak to clubs and organizations about Montgomery Trees and what we do
- Use your particular skills and background to enhance our efforts (grant-writing, teaching, etc)
- Help with our tree planting projects
- Spread awareness of our mission and encourage membership
