Thanks to your support this year we were able to host our annual seedling giveaway, host 3 educational workshops, plant 4 new Legacy Trees, and strengthen our Trees For Schools program through plantings at Goodwyn Elementary, McIntrye Comprehensive Academy, and Forest Avenue Magnet.
Support for our programs and educational series comes directly from donations and we can’t offer the community services we offer without them. Please consider becoming a Friend of Montgomery Trees today to help us continue our mission of conservation and protection of Montgomery’s urban forest.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Looking for a different kind of gift to give this holiday season?
Join Montgomery Trees at Gift Hope MGM at the First United Methodist Church in Old Cloverdale on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9:00am – 12:00pm.
Gift Hope MGM, formerly the Alternative Gift Fair, exists to support area ministries and nonprofits by hosting an event that allows people to purchase a variety of “gifts” in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one.
The mission of Gift Hope MGM is to offer people in the River Region an opportunity to rethink the traditional Christmas gift, by giving them a better alternative – giving hope to organizations in need. These gifts don’t end up under your tree, rather they end up helping dozens of organizations make a positive and tangible impact on lives all across the River Region.

Join us at Ida Belle Young Park Pavillion, 5400 Vaughn Rd.
10am-12pm
Bring the family down to get free seedlings, but stick around for games, giveaways and face painting. As in past years, attendees may take home up to 3 new bare root seedlings while supplies last. Whether you come every year, or have never participated, this is a fun, free and easy way to add to our urban forest.
Now that we have reached colder temperatures outside, we have reached the perfect time of year to plant some of our local species of trees.
This is also the time of the year that we plant our Legacy Tree orders.
Are you familiar with our Legacy Tree program?
It is a great way to honor or remember a loved one, or to commemorate a group.
