Legacy Trees Grove Clean Up

One of the kindest ways to commemorate someone special is to plant a tree in their honor. Montgomery Trees facilitates this through its Legacy Tree project. Each Legacy Tree is maintained throughout its lifetime and falls under the care of Montgomery’s urban forester as well as Montgomery Trees members.

The beautification of the Legacy Trees grove at Lagoon Park was our first volunteer project this Summer! Over the past few years, the area had become neglected, granite plaques had become covered, bamboo was encroaching and general maintenance needed to be done.

On Saturday, June 13, Montgomery Trees members, friends and volunteers from the Montgomery Clean City Commission gathered to clean up this area.

With all the helping hands, we were able to get this project knocked out in 90 minutes!
